Before the conversation

A little order.
A clearer
conversation.

You don’t need every document or every answer to begin. A few notes can make room for the questions that matter most to you.

Ask about a consultation

Your next step.
At your pace.

A brief introduction is enough to begin. Share the basic nature of your matter and a safe way to reach you; we can discuss what is needed next.

01 / A new inquiry

Tell us where
to begin.

Let us know whether your question concerns family law or landlord–tenant law, the California county involved, and how we can contact you safely.

Choose New inquiry in the form’s first question.

Another time, or prefer Zoom?

Open appointment-request form in a new tab

Choose Appointment request in the first question. You may note a Zoom preference with your optional scheduling windows. A request does not reserve a time or confirm a meeting method; wait for the firm to confirm availability and details.

Choose the route that fits. Calendly lists available times for the paid phone consultation; look for its confirmation after completing the booking and required payment. A Google Form appointment request does not reserve a time. A consultation or inquiry does not by itself establish representation or mean the firm is protecting a deadline.

Prefer a conversation first? Call (279) 777-9866. Do not rely on an unanswered request to protect a deadline. Inquiry and appointment-request forms use Google and load only when opened; the booking button opens Calendly. Privacy notice.

Prepare privately. Share thoughtfully.

Keep this guide and your records for your own use. For an initial inquiry, share only the basic nature of your matter and a safe way to reach you. Wait until the firm confirms how confidential details or documents should be provided.

01 / The essentials

Give the conversation
a starting point.

A brief overview is enough. These prompts are a starting point, not a list of requirements.

02 / Your records

Gather what you have.
Keep it organized.

You may not have every item listed. Note what is available and what is missing; wait for instructions before sharing documents.

For a family law matter

Organize the records that help explain your family’s circumstances.

  • Current court orders, filed papers, and case or court information
  • A brief timeline of family changes and the concerns you want to discuss
  • Existing parenting arrangements and relevant communications, if parenting is at issue
  • Available income, expense, asset, or debt records, if financial questions are involved
  • Notices of hearings or other scheduled events, with the complete documents

For a landlord–tenant matter

Start with the property, the agreement, and the events behind the concern.

  • The property address and county, and your role in the rental relationship
  • The lease or rental agreement, renewals, and written changes
  • Complete notices or court papers, with notes about when and how they were received
  • Relevant payment records, repair requests, photographs, or other condition records
  • A timeline of events and relevant communications

Keep complete copies of the records you already have, with their dates and context. The firm can explain what further information may be useful.

03 / Your questions

Know what
you want to ask.

Use the conversation to understand what assistance may be available and what an engagement would involve.

Keep this in mind

This guide is general preparation information, not legal advice. An inquiry does not create an attorney–client relationship, extend a deadline, or confirm that the firm is taking action for you. Mention any time-sensitive issue immediately; do not rely on an unanswered inquiry to protect a deadline.
